There's no fixed call-out fee, you'll get a clear, upfront price for the job before we start any work. Most standard blockages are quoted as a single fixed price covering inspection and clearance, so there are no surprise add-ons at the end. If we need to come back with extra equipment (jetter, CCTV, lining kit), we'll tell you what it costs first.

How quickly can you get to me in an emergency?

For genuine emergencies across Glasgow we're typically on site within 15-45 minutes, and within 1 hour at the outer edge of our coverage area. We're a small owner-run team with a fully stocked van, so when you call you speak to the engineer who'll actually turn up, not a call centre passing you down a list.

We operate 24/7 and try to keep pricing fair around the clock. There's no inflated 'unsociable hours' surcharge for standard call-outs in the evening or at weekends. For overnight or public holiday emergencies we'll always confirm the price before we set off so there are no shocks.

What is a CCTV drain survey and do I need one?

A CCTV drain survey uses a small waterproof camera pushed through the pipework to record exactly what's going on underground, cracks, collapses, root ingress, displaced joints, or hidden blockages. They're essential before buying a property, after repeated blockages, or when something keeps coming back. We give you the footage and a plain-English report, not a sales pitch.

Can you unblock a drain without harsh chemicals?

Yes, almost always. We use high-pressure water jetting, mechanical rodding, and electro-mechanical machines to physically clear the blockage rather than trying to dissolve it. Chemical drain unblockers from the supermarket can damage older pipework and rarely fix the root cause; mechanical clearance leaves the pipe in better condition than when we started.

What usually causes blocked drains in Glasgow?

What's the difference between no-dig lining and a full excavation repair?

Accepted Answer

No-dig lining (also called CIPP or patch lining) inserts a resin-impregnated sleeve into the damaged pipe and cures it in place, creating a new pipe inside the old one, no garden, driveway or slabs disturbed. Excavation is needed when a pipe has fully collapsed, dropped out of alignment, or has no host pipe left to line into. No-dig is faster, cheaper and far less disruptive when the pipe is still structurally there.
